How many days a week should I exercise? 

Any amount of exercise is an improvement, but if you are already in decent shape, exercising just 2 days a week won’t give you any added benefit. Generally speaking, I recommend workout out at least 3 times per week. Get yourself into a routine to help yourself stick to a workout schedule!

For example:

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday you go to the gym. On your off days, you may go for a walk, run or bike ride. Make exercise part of your daily life!

What should my workouts consist of?

Your workouts should consist of a good mix of Cardio and Strength. Always add a rest day in, so your body can recover. Tabata and HIIT programs are great to add in, to increase intensity and amount of calories burned. The best part about HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is that it can be completed in as little as 15-20 minutes.

The takeaway here is that you should be make an effort active everyday! Mix up your workout routine to include both high intensity workouts and strength training, as well as lower-intensity programs to make sure you are recovering properly. Try out different programs until you find a quality exercise regimen that fits into your daily life!
