Are you about to approach the golden years? I hear from a lot of people “I’m too old to get in shape…” NOT! You are never to old to start. I started my fitness journey in my mid-40’s, and now I’m about to hit the big 50 in December, and I’m in the best shape of my life. The biggest part of staying fit is mental; the mindset is a powerful thing. Of course, eating healthy and daily exercise are equally important aspects. “Everything in moderation” is one of my favorite sayings. I always try to keep a positive mental attitude, even when I have bad day. I try not to act my age, because then I will feel old…. It’s how you feel on the inside that keeps you feeling younger. If you have health issues to overcome like I did, it is even more important to maintain a positive mindset and not let any of them slow you down. However, if your body says rest, then listen to it, take a few days off, but make sure not to lose your drive. Stay active, but make sure to participate in lower-impact exercise, like going for a walk. Most importantly, keep your chin up and believe in yourself!!!!!
